Before Skateistan, skateboarding in Afghanistan was unheard of, unseen. No one had yet tapped into its amazing potential as a tool to change lives. Now over 1200 youth, with over 40% girls, participate in high quality sport and education programming at our four skate schools worldwide - Mazar-e-Sharif and Kabul in Afghanistan, Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Johannesburg in South Africa. Something changes within when children who are experiencing very difficult situations come to Skateistan. Suddenly, life is fun and full of opportunity. The future looks brighter.

Find out what Skateistan youth want for their future and join the 'Keep Skateistan Rolling' campaign. To help us reach our $25,000 fundraising goal this summer (July 1 - July 31), please donate, fundraise, shop at our online store (www.shop.skateistan.org), or simply spread the shred by sharing our videos and photos with family and friends!
